Skoya Tableware

Bespoke jungle-inspired tableware for Skoya: plates, pasta bowls and tea sets.

Concept

A table that feels like the jungle. Skoya takes its name from the sequoia, one of the giants of the forest, so we brought the wild, tropical world of the rainforest onto every plate: tree-ring brushstrokes, a cast of jungle creatures, and a word of intention inside every cup.

Where it started

It all began with the tree. The rings of the sequoia's trunk became the loose, hand-painted swirl that runs through Skoya, from its cushions to its table bases. We let them spill onto the tableware as rough brushstrokes, as if each plate had been painted by hand.

The Seating

The tree rings didn't stop at the table. We designed Skoya's seating with the same hand-painted spirals, like the cross-section of a giant trunk, running across the cushions and echoed in the table bases.

The Characters

A cast of hand-drawn jungle creatures from the Skoya brand world, each one sitting just above the Skoya name on its plate.

The Plates

Three colours, each with its own brushstroke ring: sunset orange, jungle green and cobalt blue. Mixed together on one table, no two place settings look the same.

The Tea Sets

The swirl wraps the teapot and milk jug, and every cup holds a small intention written inside the rim: I am Radiant. I am Mysterious. I am Grounded. You only read it when you take a sip.

At the Table

On Skoya's terrace, under the woven canopy, the collection comes to life among oranges, roses and sunflowers.

The Lit Wall

At the entrance, the jungle glows. We designed a perforated metal wall, 3.4 metres high and more than 5 metres wide, lit from behind. Thousands of holes, large and small, draw the Skoya world in light: sweeping palms, the parrot, the monkey under its parasol, the serpent and the leopard's curled tail, gathered around the Skoya name.
